Crafting Art: Saturday 12 April

From 1869 – 1992, Lobethal’s Onkaparinga Woollen Mills, were synonymous with the highest quality Australian blankets and materials. Artist Flossie Peitsch sketched the skilled workers at their beloved machines, soon to be parted. Also a weaver, Peitsch used the very fibres produced by the Mill to weave 54 tapestries. For the first time, these two significant bodies of art are exhibited together.
