Heritage Workshop Program Call Out

Facilitate a workshop as part of the Heritage Workshop Program

As part of our commitment to supporting a diversity of textile and related craft practices in our community, we plan to present a series of skills development workshops that reflect the many cultures and traditions that contribute to our rich heritage.

If you are an artist whose practice reflects these attributes, and you wish to share your knowledge and skills with the wider community we invite you to submit your Heritage Workshop Proposal.

HOW TO BE INVOLVED

We are interested in hearing from artists of any ethnicity who meet any of the following criteria:

  • Practise skills and techniques that have been handed down to you through generations.
  • Practise skills and techniques that are specific to your country of origin.
  • Practise skills and techniques that are specific to your cultural heritage.

Preferred visual art and craft forms are (but not limited to) textiles or related, such as needlework, weaving, embroidery, dyeing, printmaking, or papermaking for example.

Before submitting your proposal please download and read the Heritage Workshop Proposal Guidelines below.

DATES

We will accept proposals on an ongoing basis between 1 April 2025 and 30 January 2026 for workshops scheduled to take place sometime between November 2025 to June 2026.
