Bushland Park in the Adelaide Hills is a special place of natural beauty that heals and soothes the spirit. In this one-day workshop we will connect with nature and with our own creative spirit.
Sketching and painting in nature connect us with the landscape in a way that no other activity can.
In this relaxed workshop, participants will be supported to create a set of drawings and a finished canvas that reflect their time deeply immersed in nature.

About Jane Mant
Jane is an experienced artist with wide-ranging background in illustration, art, teaching and exhibiting. She has a deep, lifelong love of nature, finding inspiration, solace and connection there. Her constantly evolving work is a response to experiencing the wonders of nature and the effects of light on the landscape. Her art practice encompasses drawing, printmaking and contemporary impressionist paintings, which are explorations of vibrant colour, rhythmic mark making and varied textures. She has two decades’ practical experience teaching a range of year levels across public and independent South Australian schools, as well as classes and workshops for adults.

This workshop will take place in the clubrooms at beautiful Bushland Park overlooking the water, a 4 minute drive from Fabrik. Look out for the white FABRIK signage (opposite Brettig Road) on the day.

If you have symptoms of Covid or are feeling unwell, please stay at home. We will be following all government advice at this event.
Participants will need to make their own lunch arrangements on the day; a 30-minute break is scheduled. Refreshments provided will include gluten free offerings as well as a plant-based milk option.
Maximum participant numbers at this workshop have been capped at 12 to ensure personal attention and lots of friendly chit chat. Minimum participant numbers are set at 6, if minimum numbers are not reached, contact with any ticket holders regarding cancellation and full refunds will be made a week prior to the workshop.
Please wear shoes suitable for a nature walk. Please note that Bushland Park has a variety of walk paths with some undulating terrain.
