Fabrik is proud to be hosting an artistic collaborative response to the regeneration of Lobethal’s Bushland Park with an upcoming performance by visual artist Louise Flaherty, musician Belinda Gehlert and dance artist Tanya Voges.
Bushland Park was severely impacted by the 2019 Cudlee Creek fire. This project, developed in collaboration with the community, explores and celebrates the regeneration of native vegetation throughout this important site. You are warmly invited to join us for this site-specific participatory performance.
Expected duration: 1hour.
Additional information about what to bring etc will be sent after booking is made.
Accessibility: The performance covers a distance of up to 2.30km on varying terrain. We acknowledge the site-specific nature of this project may present accessibility challenges. While we have made some strategies to address some of these, we recognise that having conversations regarding individual needs is best. If you have any accessibility or communication requirements you would like to tell us about, we welcome a phone call to chat about how we might be able to assist. Please call René Strohmayer, Fabrik’s Public Programs Officer directly on 0429 416 293.
While the project development is nearing completion, community can still contribute to the project until March 24 by writing a postcard to a cherished native plant species of Bushland Park.
There are two ways to take part:
The artists are collecting the postcard responses to use in an audio piece for the upcoming performance piece. Submitting a postcard indicates that you are happy to have this included in the artists final work (please note that there is a possibility that not all submissions will be used).
This Creative Recovery project is supported by Arts South Australia.
