Hooked offers a visual feast of creativity and will immerse you in the wonderous world of crochet.
This exhibition is representative of the collections of crochet addicts, Kristin Phillips and Lianne Gould, who collect, study and make crochet. Featuring over 100 pieces demonstrating a range of styles and techniques, there are also patterns, scrap and sample books, and over two centuries of crochet hooks.
The traditional doilies, jug covers, knee rugs and tea cosies might remind you of your grandma, but there is also fab costume of the swinging sixties, and other items that might scare grandma’s pants off! This exhibition will open your eyes to the diversity of crochet including the reimagined and radical works of today in the hope that you too will become ‘Hooked’.
