Print with the sun at this introduction to Cyanotype workshop.
Cyanotype is a photographic process that produces distinctive blue prints. Donna Gordge of StitchPaintBurn Studio will share hints, tips and all the techniques we’ll need to know about this fascinating blue-print process.
We’ll experiment with both paper and cotton fabric, and also explore tinting to create sepia-toned cyanotypes.Bring along small, interestingly shaped objects from home or things from nature. If it casts a shadow, we can print it!
This class is suitable for all skill levels. Expert tuition plus lots of friendly support included. Cups of tea + coffee plus simple refreshments will be provided.
This workshop will take place in the clubrooms at beautiful Bushland Park overlooking the water, a 4-minute drive from Fabrik. Look out for the white FABRIK signage at the entry way (opposite Brettig Road) on the day.
If you have symptoms of Covid or are feeling unwell, please stay at home. We will be following all government advice at this event.
Refreshments provided will include gluten free offerings as well as a plant-based milk option.
If you have any accessibility needs or any questions, please feel welcome to contact Fabrik’s Public Program Officer, René Strohmayer via email on rstrohmayer@ahc.sa.gov.au
