Rosie Rowland trained as a paediatric and general nurse in Scotland before emigrating to Australia, where she worked at the women’s and children’s hospital in Adelaide. Rosie completed a post graduate diploma in health counselling at the University of South Australia and then joined Anglicare in 2001 as a Family Support Practitioner.Rosie worked with the Supporting Families team until June 2019 when she retired to spend more time at her home in the Adelaide hills.During her time at Anglicare in addition to her counselling work, she set up and ran creative writing groups for women. These groups were so successful that in partnership with Country Health SA and the University of South Australia, she won a grant to create and publish a book of the women’s writings to be used as a therapeutic tool.Rosie continues to be passionate about art journaling and the therapeutic affects of creative writing.
