Ngarrindjeri Weaving and Culture with Cedric Varcoe

Join us for a day of learning to weave, the Ngarrindjeri traditional way with Ngarrindjeri man and contemporary artist Cedric Varcoe. During the class we’ll be talking about Culture, the plants we’ll be weaving with and their traditional uses.

This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, all are welcome at this family friendly event.

This workshop forms part of Adelaide Hills Council’s Reconciliation Week program.

All materials, including river rushes picked by Cedric, all equipment as well as morning and afternoon tea are supplied. A 40 minute lunch break has been scheduled and participants are encouraged to either bring their lunch along or visit the local cafes and purchase lunch.

Location + COVID Safe Protocols

This workshop will take place in our ground floor Blanket Room at Fabrik, look out for directional signage on the day. Participants are asked to abide by SA Health COVID safe protocols in place at the time of the workshop and only attend if they are feeling well.
