Be guided by the expert tuition of Donna Gordge of Stitch Paint Burn studio and explore creative booking binding.
In this session, participants will make three books – one using stab binding, which can be quite decorative; a hard cover book bound with long stitch; and a folded cascade book. We will also explore different materials and methods of construction.
All materials are provided, including new and old paper stock but if you have any interesting paper that you’d like to include, feel free to bring it along. No prior book binding experience is required.
Cups of tea and coffee plus simple refreshments will be provided, participants will need to make their own arrangements to bring along or purchase lunch from one of our many fabulous eateries nearby; a 30 minute lunch break is scheduled on the day.
This workshop will take place in Fabrik’s Blanket Room foyer space, please look out for directional signage on the day.
