Yarning Circle – from your home

Anytime from now until Wednesday 30 September 2020

Crochet Granny Squares – Let’s keep our community warm.

We’ve been asked by the Lobethal Bushfire Recovery Centre, if we can call out to our crafters to help create warm and woolly items like blankets for our Adelaide Hills community members affected by the bushfires.

Do you love to crochet? Could you help?

Here’s how to be involved: Crochet some Granny squares at home using the ‘Easy Peasy Blanket’ pattern, then post or drop them into Fabrik for assembling.

All items created through this Yarning Circle will be donated to the Recovery Centre, located here at Fabrik for distribution.

The pattern: For ease of blanket assembly, it’s best if we are all making squares from the same pattern. It absolutely made our day when crafting icon Pip Lincolne messaged us to let us know that she as happy for us to share and connect you to her Easy Peasy Blanket pattern as our ‘go-to pattern’ for this project

If you haven’t already explored Pip’s blog Meet Me at Mikes – good stuff for nice people, we encourage you make a cup of tea, set aside some time and check it out – it’s all kinds of lovely.

The delivery details: Feel welcome to drop off your Granny Squares directly to our Yarning Circle in the cottage here at Fabrik, on Wednesday afternoons between 1 – 4pm from July 22 – August 26. At 1 Lobethal Road, Lobethal (look for directional signs on the day).

Or pop them in the post to us 1 Lobethal Road, Lobethal Road SA 5241.

Sparkling thanks in advance for your contribution of time, skill and yarn.

Please feel welcome to contact Renè at Fabrik with any questions via fabrik@ahc.sa.gov.au or 0429 416 293.
